Notes from the Margin is my Substack newsletter. Each article is a kind of commonplace book in which small points of connection are gathered. The margin of the title is both the place at the edge of a page where notes are made, and a place of in-betweens, of not quite being identified or categorised. These are places of profundity and revelation for me.

Spelt Magazine is on a mission to celebrate and validate the rural experience. With four seasonal print issues per year, we aim to provide a platform for those creative writers exploring nature, landscape, the natural world and the liminality of natural areas within the urban landscape.

    I just followed a link to your websire from the miscarraige association where i was dling some research for work. Thank you for your honest account of building a life after deciding not to carry on trying for children, my husband’s cousin is in this situation and I will communicate better with her after reading it.
